Why a Blog

Kathie does a great job of staying in touch with many people who use Facebook..but there are many who don't use Facebook who would like to know where we are and what we are doing.

Some  want to know once a day, some once a month and some once a year is enough. The blog is easy to do and caters to everyone's level of interest unobtrusively.
Also I (Simon) forget so many things which I would love to remember so it will be nice for me to look back on one day.🙂

A blog is stored on the Web, and organised so that those who value their privacy are not bombarded with emails.
Those who want to know every detail can elect to get an email when every  new posting is done.

Annual or rarely catch up
If you want to see whats happening once a year , just click on the link to the blog on the first email we sent.
When reading the blog online, if you feel like it click on Comment at the bottom of the page and tell us what you think.
or if you think its funny or interesting click on that Box

Monthly or occasional catch up
If you want to see whats happening occasionally , do the same as above.

Or if you don't mind receiving emails with links a couple a week and dont bother reading them ..then click on subscribe . It will take your email address and send out a notification when new news is posted
Click on the link from the email
If you feel like it click on the comment box at the bottom of the page, and tell us what you think

Daily Catch up
click on the area on the home page which says receive notifications of new posts ... The system will sent an email to you notifying you of a new post. you click on the link and read what you want, and leave a comment if you want

All our interests are different, and dont have time to read stuff which is of no interest, so we have labels on our blogs which put the content into a category
These labels are:
Culture: Food , Art, Events, Traditions, Architecture, People , Language, History.
Campsites: Places we have stayed
Technical and Maintenance : Fixing the car , Caravan , Wifi , Phones  Navigation, etc.
Travel and Touristy stuff: Roads,  Signage, Ferry Trips, Flights, Bridges.  Unique places of importance because  it is on the must do list.
Pools: Simon loves swimming and seeks out Swimming pools everywhere they are all different and their rules for their use vary hugely .
Thoughts: The process of travel opens our eyes to diverse beliefs in the world. All work in one way or another for different people.
Travel is not always predictable, this takes us  outside our comfort zone and this encourages new thoughts. Yes some of them cannot be written down..those that can I will. I love to get new refreshing perspectives on trivial problems.
